No DRS Chapter Meeting on July 12

Because many of our members will be taking part in Imaginarium on July 18-20, we decided, as in previous years, to cancel the chapter meeting for July. We will meet again August 9, details will be posted closer to that event.

Lynn Slaughter

Lynn will be participating in Voice & Vision: Presented by Spalding University’s Naslund-Mann Graduate School of Writing, The Louisville Review & 21c Museum Hotel will feature five fantastic writers for the July edition of the popular annual summer reading series. The program will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at 21c Museum Hotel, 700 West Main St., in downtown Louisville.

The July program features writers Sarah Gorham, Lynn Slaughter, Jeffrey Skinner, Richard Taylor and Sonja Wilde-de Vries. Hosted by Flora K. Schildknecht. The evening begins with an art talk from 21c Lexington’s Museum Manager Ashley Rowland on the museum’s current exhibition The SuperNatural 2.0,  exploring the transformation from the post-industrial world into the bytes and pixels of the digital age.

This year marks the twelfth season for this fabulous and fun series which celebrates the interrelatedness of the area’s vibrant literary and visual arts community. Complimentary light snacks and beverages will be provided. We hope you’ll join us for this free, ticketless event.
